PDA

PDA Counselling Support in Surrey

Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) brings its own particular challenges for families. As a parent of neurodivergent children myself, I understand how exhausting and isolating this can feel.

You might recognise some of this

Support for Parents

Navigating a child's PDA profile can feel isolating and exhausting, particularly when conventional strategies don't apply in the way they might for other neurodivergent profiles. I offer support to help you understand your child's experience, adapt your approach, and find what works for your family's unique dynamic.

Home education support is also available, as many families with a PDA child find that a more flexible approach to learning better suits their child's needs.

Support for Children and Young People

For children and young people, I help them understand and embrace their profile, build confidence in who they are, manage emotional regulation, and navigate the social and academic challenges that can come with PDA. Building a strong sense of identity and self-worth is central to this work.
